i started this poem with the help of my friends, but ended it myself. so im sorry if the ending is crappy...

Lost love

i once had a love,
a lost love at that.
he once left me alone,
but then he came back
all fragile and broken
beaten till black.

he cried for help,
so i couldn't resist
his lovely sweet soul,
that floated amidst.

i hugged him,
and nursed him back to health.
but still on those dreary nights,
he still screamed out for help.

I tried my best
to help him along
I couldn’t not try,
But it just hurt us both in the long run.

When he realized this
He just let go.
And once again he left me alone.

I still see him around.
His fragile self,
turned into stone mold.
His lovely sweet soul,
turned bitter and cold.

I felt like I had failed,
Like a broken winged dove.
But I knew I must let go,
Of this lost love.
